Zone 3 Africa Volleyball Club Championship: Nigeria’s Representatives and Five Others Book Semifinal Tickets

Reigning champions Ghana Police, Nigeria Immigrations, Nigeria Customs, and Nigeria Police have confirmed their places in the men’s semifinals of the 2019 Zone 3 Africa Volleyball Club championship currently going on in Lagos.

The men’s defending champions saw off Nigeria Police 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-22) to top Pool A and secure a semi-final berth. Nigeria Police are also through to the semi-final, qualifying behind Ghana Police with victories over Entente of Ghana and AS OTR of Togo.

Both teams were also joined in the semi-final by Nigeria Customs who booked their spot with a 3-1 victory over Finance of Benin, triumphing (25-23, 25-15, 22-25, 25-18 ) in Pool B. Nigeria Immigrations were runners up in the group and secured a semi-final berth by seeing off Finance of Benin 3-0 (25-23, 25-14, 25-22).

In the women’s category, Nigeria Customs, Nigeria Army, Nigeria Immigrations and Kada Emeralds all sailed into the semi-finals at the ongoing championships.
