Zidane’s First Signing Is Neither Mbappe Nor Hazard

Enormous speculations have surrounded the potential additions that will join Real Madrid after Zinedine Zidane’s surprise return to manage Los Blancos for a second time.

With the dwindling results experienced by the Spanish Club in the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo, many have expected the immediate addition of a superstar to the team. Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and PSG’s Kylian Mbappe top that expectation list.

Club President, Fiorentino Perez recently joked about the addition of Mbappe.

But on Thursday, reliable reports from Spain reveal Porto’s centre-back Eder Militao is set to arrive Madrid before any other signing with Zidane now in charge.

According to Marca, Militao is expected to be announced next week as Real Madrid look to repair a defence that has suffered with injuries this campaign.

The Brazilian has made 34 appearances for Porto this season and due to his performance, national team coach Tite has included him in the squad that will face Panama and Czech Republic during the FIFA International window this month.
