Zamalek Sack 23rd Coach In Four Years

Egyptian giants Zamalek have sacked their coach Ehab Galal after he led the club to three straight league losses.

Galal was fired by Zamalek president Mortada Mansour whose reign has now featured 23 coaches since he became president in April 2014.

His last game in charge was the 2-1 home defeat he suffered at the hands of Al Ittihad.

Ehab Galal had previously been knocked out of the Confederation Cup by Ethiopia’s Welayta Dicha before the three straight defeats.

He became the head coach of Zamalek in January as a replacement for Montenegrin coach Nebojsa “Nebo” Jovovic.

Hs namesake Khaled Galal has been placed in temporary charge while the club looks to hire a foreign coach.

The club is presently third on the Egyptian league table and are 25 points behind leaders and archrivals Al Ahly, who have played a game less.
