World champions have been given tough UEFA National League fixtures after the draw was held in Lausanne, Switzerland earlier on Wednesday.
Germany were paired in Group A of League 1 alongside France and Netherlands.
European champions Portugal were drawn alongside Italy and Poland in Group C of League 1 while the immediate past World and European champions Spain will battle England and Croatia in Group D of League 1.
Group B of League 1 will feature Belgium, Switzerland and Iceland.
UEFA National League matches are expected to start in September 2018.
