Wikki Tourists have moved out of the relegation zone in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) after they defeated Lobi Stars 1-0 in their Matchday 8 clash at the Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi on Monday evening.

Abubakar Umar was the hero for the home side as he scored the only goal of the game with eight minutes left on the clock to give his side a priceless win.

The victory was enough to catapult Wikki Tourists (12 points) ten places up the table from the relegation zone (17th) to 7th spot while Lobi Stars stay in the top four after recording 13 points from the eight league games played this season.
