Wenger Gets Three-Match Ban For Referees’ Rant

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been handed a three-match touchline ban for the comments he made about referees after last Sunday’s Premier League game against West Brom.

In addition to the touchline ban, the Frenchman was also fined by the English Football Association (FA) to the tune of £40,000.

As reported by the FA, Wenger admitted in a hearing earlier on Friday that his behaviour after the draw at West Brom “was abusive, improper and questioned the integrity of the match referee.”

He will now serve his touchline ban in the away games against Nottingham Forest (FA Cup), Chelsea (Carabao Cup) and Bournemouth (Premier League).
