We Will Be Ready For Croatia – Rohr

Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has disclosed that his team will be ready for their 2018 FIFA World Cup Group D opening clash with Croatia on Saturday.

The Franco-German tactician also played down the recent defeats suffered by the Super Eagles and that lessons have been learnt from them.

Rohr was speaking via the official website of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Sunday.

In his words, Rohr said: “We are okay with the garb of the underdog. But the defeats have done something for us — we have our heads firmly on our shoulders and we are focused.

“Together, we have reviewed the matches and learnt so many lessons. We will approach the World Cup matches differently.” He added.

The 64-year-old went ahead to say that the Eagles would be ready for the opening fixture against Croatia scheduled for the Kaliningrad Stadium in Kaliningrad.

He said: “We will take it one match at a time. I love this group because we know how to rise to the occasion together.”

“Nigeria will be ready for Croatia.” He concluded.
