Wayne Rooney visits White House on Special Invite from the Trump Family

Coleen and Wayne Rooney were US President Donald Trump’s guests of honour at the White House Christmas party on Sunday.

The couple were personally invited by Donald Trump and were joined by their four sons, Kai, 9, Klay, 5, Kit, 2 and nine-month-old Cass, at the bash.

Inside the party, the family was also treated to a guided tour of President Trump’s private quarters within the iconic building.

Since moving to Washington, where 33-year-old Wayne plays for DC United, the family have lived a more low key life.

But when they were invited to the famous party by the President, whose son Barron previously played for DC United’s youth teams, pals said Coleen and Wayne couldn’t refuse.

The couple was stunned when they received a personal invite from Donald inviting them to the White House.

Trump’s son Barron is a massive DC United fan and has previously been pictured with some of the team’s stars at a White House Easter party last year.

Speaking about opening the doors of the White House to special guests every Christmas, President Trump’s wife Melania said: “This is a joyous time of year when we decorate the White House for the Christmas Season.”
