VOLLEYBALL: 12 Countries Hit Nigeria For Africa Nations Beach Volleyball Cup Seniors

Twelve countries will be competing at the 2019 Africa Nations Beach Volleyball Cup Seniors which begins today at the Jabi Lake Park, Abuja.

According to the Secretary-General of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Alhaji Adamu Maikano, Algeria, Morocco, Uganda, Rwanda, Gambia, and Benin Republic arrived the country on Sunday ahead of the competition.

Other participating nations already in the country include Sudan, Mauritius, Niger, Ivory Coast, Egypt, and Mozambique.

Maikano told the media that other countries such as South Africa, Sierra Leone, and Lesotho are expected to arrive in Nigeria today even as he reiterated Nigeria’s preparedness to host the tournament.

“Nigeria is a force to reckon with in beach volleyball and have produced medals for the country,” he said.

“We believe that the championship will not only bring out the beauty of the game in Nigeria but the infrastructure in the country’s capital.

“We are fully ready to host the rest of Africa in Abuja,” he concluded.

The Africa Nations Beach Volleyball Cup Seniors is scheduled to hold from April 21st to 28th, 2019 at Jabi Lake Park, Abuja, Nigeria.
