
Former Manchester United captain, Wayne Rooney marked his return to boyhood club Everton with a Premier League debut goal, as Everton edged Stoke City 1-0 at Goodison Park.
Wayne Rooney headed home Calvert-Lewin’s pin point cross on the stroke of half time, to score his 199th goal in the Premier League.

Rooney’s strike was enough to earn Everton all three points as The Toffees begin their 2017/2018 Premier League campaign with a victory.
