Victor Moses Completes Spartak Moscow Move

Victor Moses has joined Spartak Moscow, on a season-long loan deal, the Russian Premier League side announced on Thursday.

The deal includes an option for Moses to join Spartak permanently at the end of the season.

The former Nigerian international who is currently on the books of Chelsea with a contract running until 2022 has been deemed surplus to requirement at Stamford Bridge.

The 29-year-old has enjoyed a nomadic career and spent the first part of last season on loan at Fenerbahce before ending the season with Inter Milan whom he reached the final of the Europa League with.

He was linked with a return to Milan on transfer deadline day in England but reports say the transfer failed after Inter withdrew their interest.

He was subsequently offered a lifeline byDomenico Tedesco’s side with the Russian transfer window still open.

The transfer will see Moses come up against compatriot and CSKA winger Chidera Ejuke in the Moscow derby.

Spartak, record winners of the Russian topflight are currently second in the 2020-21 season.
