Victor Moses Announces Shock Retirement From Super Eagles

Super Eagles winger Victor Moses has surprisingly announced his retirement from the team at the age of 27.

The Chelsea star announced his shock retirement from the three-time African champions via Twitter.

He said: “I have experienced some of the best moments of my life wearing the Super Eagles shirt and have memories with me that will last  a lifetime.”

“However I feel that now is the right time to step away in order to be able to focus fully on club career and my young family as well as to allow the next generation of Super Eagle stars the opportunity to step up and to flourish.” He added.

Victor Moses was part of the Super Eagles of Nigeria squad to the recently concluded FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.

He featured in all three Group D games for Nigeria and scored in the final group game against Argentina but it was not enough as the West Africans crashed out with a 2-1 loss to the two-time world champions.

Since making his debut in 2012, Victor Moses has scored 12 goals in 37 appearances for the team.
