Vicente Guaita Joins Crystal Palace On A Free Transfer

Premier League side Crystal Palace have made their first signing of the summer following the acquisition of Spanish goalkeeper Vicente Guaita.

The 31-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the Eagles on a free transfer from Getafe and will team up with Roy Hodgson’s men on July 1 when his contract expires.

Vicente Guaita was one of the best goalkeepers in the Spanish La Liga last season as he helped his team keep 12 clean sheets last season which was influential to an eighth-place league finish.

On his signing, club chairman Steve Parish said: “We are pleased that we beat off the competition for his signature.”

“We very much look forward to Vicente joining in pre-season training and helping us push on in the Premier League.” He added.
