Usain Bolt Reveals First Pictures Of Daughter Olympia Lightning

Sprint legend Usain Bolt has revealed the name of his new born daughter as he posted pictures of her for the first time.

The 33-year-old Olympic gold medallist posted pictures of daughter Olympia Lightning on Twitter on Tuesday while also wishing his partner Kasi Bennett a happy birthday.

Usain and Kasi welcomed their first child on June 14 but have never revealed her name or pictures until now.

The Jamaican uploaded a series of images of Kasi in a flowing gown as she sat cradling their little girl.

He wrote: ‘I want to wish my gf @kasi__b a happy birthday. I get to spend ur special day with u. I want nothing but happiness for u & will continue to doing my best keeping a smile on ur face.

‘We have started a new chapter together with our daughter Olympia Lightning Bolt [sic].’

Bolt, the only sprinter to win the 100m and 200m golds at three consecutive Olympics, specifically 2008, 2012 and 2016, is widely considered the greatest sprinter of all time.

However, expectations that daughter Olympia Lightning may follow in her famous dad’s footsteps may not see the light of day as Bolt has said he would not encourage his children to follow in his footsteps.

”That´s going to be hard for my kid. If they want to do it, I’m fine with it. But initially I’m going to say don’t do it, because I know the pressure that will come along with it,” he said earlier this year.

An 11-time world champion, Bolt who holds world records in the 100m and 200m retired after the 2017 world championships in London where he suffered a hamstring injury in the final race of his career.
