The on-going Gov Wike Unity Cup has given football fans a taste of the coming NPFL season with top-tier teams competing against each other.

In Saturday’s Semi-Final, MFM FC take on Sunshine Stars, the Olukoya Boys are the in-form team, however, the Owena Whales are fancied favourites.

Speaking to Footballlive.ng, MFM FC coach Fidelis Ilechukwu said, “We all know that Sunshine Stars are a very impressive team and should not be taken lightly at all,”

“We have done well to get ourselves to this stage, but now it is up to our players to put in a good performance against Sunshine Stars who are obviously going into this match as favourites,” he continued.

“If we can replicate the form of our match against Excellent FC then I feel we stand a good chance of defeating them.”
