Manchester United have moved to within 12 points of Premier League leaders Manchester City after two stunning strikes handed the Red Devils a 2-0 win at Everton.

Anthony Martial and in-form Jesse Lingard scored the goals for Jose Mourinho’s men to secure a first win in four matches after three successive draws against Leicester City, Burnley and Southampton.

The win was enough to resurrect Manchester United”s fading title hopes as they move above Champions Chelsea (45 points) into second place with 47 points though they are still a long way from rivals City (59 points).
