German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig will take a slim margin to Russia to play Zenit St. Petersburg after they defeated their visitors 2-1 in what was a round of 16 first leg clash.

After a goalless first half, Bruma and Timo Werner scored to put Leipzig 2-0 ahead before Domenico Criscito pulled one back four minutes from time to drag the Russians back into the tie ahead of the second leg.

The second leg is scheduled for Petersburg on Thursday, March 15.
