UEL Review: Arsenal Book Last 16 Spot Despite Surprising Oestersunds Loss; AC Milan And Dortmund Also Through

Swedish side Oestersunds produced the best result of their small history after they stunned Arsenal 2-1 in their UEFA Europa League (UEL) round of 32 2nd leg clash played at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night.

The European debutants had lost the first leg at home by three goals to nothing but they showed remarkable fighting spirit as Hosam Aiesh and Ken Sema scored within one minute to put the visitors 2-0 up at the end of the first half.

Sead Kolasinac pulled one back just after the interval to put Arsenal back in complete command of the tie but Oestersunds held on to at least claim a major scalp despite failing to qualify for the next round.

Italian Serie A giants AC Milan are through to the last 16 after they defeated Ludogorets Razgrad of Bulgaria 1-0 at home courtesy Fabio Borini’s first half strike for an aggregate win of 4-0.

Borussia Dortmund are also through to the next round with a 4-3 aggregate win over Atalanta.

Brazilian star Rafael Toloi scored the opening goal for the Italians in the first half and were heading to the last 16 until Marcel Schmelzer equalised seven minutes from time to hand Dortmund a spot in the next stage.
