UEFA Charge Arsenal & Cologne For Crowd Trouble

UEFA have charged Arsenal and FC Cologne following crowd trouble during Thursday night’s Europa League game at the Emirates.

Arsenal have been charged for blocking stairways while Cologne faces four different charges which include crowd disturbances and setting off fireworks.

Over 15,000 Cologne fans traveled to North London for the game despite 2,900 away fans ticket allocation as the Group H opener was delayed for more than one hour.

However, Arsenal fought back from a goal down to get their Europa League campaign to a flying start, defeating the German side 3-1.

Uefa Control, Ethics, and Disciplinary committee will preside over the charges next week Thursday, September 21.
