UCL Final: I Don’t Care Whether Madrid Are Favourites –Dortmund Forward, Reus

Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus has said he does not care whether Real Madrid go into Saturday’s Champions League final as favourites.

Dortmund will go into today’s clash inside Wembley stadium with Madrid as underdogs.

The Bundesliga giants will hope to be second time lucky after losing to league rivals Bayern Munich inside the same stadium in 2013.

Reus featured for Dortmund who went down to a 2-1 defeat, suffering their first Champions League final loss.

“Sure, Real Madrid is the favourite. But I don’t care,” he said.

“The role of the favourite doesn’t decide who wins the game.”

Dortmund have the uphill task of inflicting a first Champions League final defeat on Madrid in over 40 years.

The last time Madrid tasted defeat in the final of Europe’s elite club competition was in 1981, a 1-0 loss to Liverpool.
