UCL: Arnautovic Sinks Atletico Madrid; PSV, Borussia Dortmund Share Spoils

Marko Arnautovic scored the decisive goal as Inter Milan secured a precious 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 contest.

Arnautovic struck 10 minutes from time after missing several scoring chances in the game.

The Austrian fired home from a narrow angle after Jan Oblak parried Lautaro Martinez’s shot into his path.

Inter Milan have now won all their nine competitive games in 2024.

The second leg will take place at the Wanda Metropolitano on March 13.

In the night’s other fixture, PSV Eindhoven held Borussia Dortmund to a 1-1 draw at the Philips Stadion.

Donyell Malen gave the visitors the lead in the 24th minute.

The home team fought back with Luke de Jong netting the equaliser from the spot four minutes before the hour mark.
