U-20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers: Falconets Thrash Tanzania To Qualify For Next Round

The nation’s female U-20 team, Falconets, are through to the second round of the U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers (African section) after they recorded a 9-0 aggregate win over Tanzania in their first round tie.

Leading 3-0 from the first leg in Nigeria, the team didn’t waste time in adding to that tally. Rasheedat Ajibade scored a first half brace to set the team on the way to a big win. The Falconets added two more goals before halftime and a further two goals after the interval for a 6-0 away win.

With the aggregate win, the Falconets have qualified for the next stage of qualifiers from the African section.
