Title Drought Is In The Past For This Belgian!

Belgium tennis player David Goffin won his second title within a week following his triumph in the Japan Open.

Goffin had earlier won his first title in more than three years at the Shezhen Open last week and he followed it up with a 6-3 7-5 win over Adrian Mannarino in the Japan Open final on Sunday.

He atoned for his loss to Nick Krygios of Australia in the final of the same event last year by winning it for his 3rd ATP title.

Victory over Mannarino also extended Goffin’s winning streak to nine matches dating back to the Shezhen.

He is well on course to qualify for the season ending ATP World Tour Finals in London. His 10th place would be good enough because Novak Djokovic and Stan Wawrinka have been ruled out with injury meaning he currently stands at No. 8.
