Thomas Dennerby Appointed Falcons Coach On A Two-Year Deal

Thomas Dennerby has been named the new head coach for Nigeria’s national senior women team, the Super Falcons.

Dennerby, 58, who was in charge of the Swedish national team for seven years (2005-2012), has signed a two-year contract until 2020 with the option to renew if he is able to meet minimum expectations set by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

His appointment was revealed by the NFF president Amaju Pinnick via his official Twitter handle.

According to the NFF president, the former police officer will be assisted by Jorgen Petersson.

He also mentioned that the technical committee will shortlist three local coaches to be part of the Thomas Dennerby-led Super Falcons coaching crew.
