1966 – Muhammad Ali beat Cleveland Williams on a Technical Knockout (TKO) in 3 rounds for his heavyweight title;
1979 – ex French International, Jean-Alain Boumsong was born;
1981 – British racing driver, Tom Ferrier was born;
1985 – Belgium and FC Barcelona footballer, Thomas Vermaelen was born;
1989 – West Bromwich Albion and English Footballer, Jake Livermore was born;
2001 – Former Argentine Footballer and Boca Juniors legend, Juan Carlos Lorenzo died. He is mostly remembered for coaching Boca Juniors to their first two Copa Libertadores titles in their history. He was born in 1922.
2010 – 61st Formula One WDC: Sebastian Vettel wins by four points;

1969 – Former US President Nixon became the first president to attend a season NFL game while in office: the Dallas Cowboys beat the Washington Redskins 41-28;
1971 – Moroccan football legend Mustapha Hadji, was born;
1974 – England and Manchester United Legend Paul Scholes, was born;
1988 – Robin Givens sued former World Heavyweight boxing champion, Mike Tyson for $125 million for libel;
2003 – Lionel Messi made his first ever appearance for FC Barcelona’s senior team in a friendly against Porto.

On the 17th of November in:-
1986 – ex-Manchester United and Portugal International Luis Nani, was born;
2006 – Ferenc Puskás, Hungarian and Real Madrid legend was born. He was renowned for the number and quality of goals he scored in his football career;
2013 – Sebastian Vettel won a record breaking eighth consecutive Formula One race in the 2013 United States Grand Prix.

On the 18th of November in:-
1963 – Peter Schmeichel, Danish footballer and Manchester United legendary goalkeeper was born;
1970 – Joe Frazier knocked out Bob Foster in 2 rounds for the heavyweight boxing title;
2012 – Lewis Hamilton won one of his four Formula One titles in the 2012 US Formula One Grand Prix.

November 19

On the 19th of November in:-
1965 Laurent Blanc, French footballer/manager and ex-PSG manager was born;
1985 English footballer and former Manchester United player, Chris Eagles, was born in Hemel Hempstead;
1989 – the US men’s national team beat Trinidad 1-0 to qualify for the 1990 world cup finals in Italy. It was their first qualification for the World Cup since 1950.
