Team Nigeria Arrive Spain For World Junior Handball Championship

Nigeria’s U21 national male handball team male have arrived Spain where they are due to participate in the World Junior Handball Championship. 

The junior male team departed the country on Monday morning for the venue of the competition which runs from July, 16th to 28th 2019.

Twenty-four nations are billed to compete at the tournament which has current hosts Spain as defending champions after they won the last edition hosted by Algeria in 2017.

Nigeria have been drawn in Group B alongside Egypt, France, Korea, Australia, and Sweden.

The U21 side begin their campaign today against 2017 bronze medalists France, before taking on fellow Africans, Egypt on Wednesday. They play Korea on Friday, July 19 before battling Australia the next day, Saturday July 20. They then round off their group stage matches against Sweden on Monday, July 22, 2019.
