Assistant coach of Nigeria’s Beach Soccer national team, the Super Sand Eagles, Chukwuma Agbo is dead.

Agbo passed on this morning after reportedly taking ill two days ago.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed the death of the former Rangers coach via its official Twitter page.

“Yet another painful loss! We are sad to hear of the passing of Assistant Coach of our Beach Soccer National team, the Super Sand Eagles, Chukwuma Agbo. Our prayers are with his family at this time. May his soul rest in peace,” a tweet from the NFF on Wednesday morning read.

Last month, Agbo led Delta Force to the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 playoffs in Aba but failed to help the team secure promotion to the topflight, resigning from his position as head coach of the side thereafter.
