Super Falcons Star Ordega Moves To China

Super Falcons winger Francisca Ordega has joined Chinese Women’s Super League side Shanghai W.F.C after spending four years at American topflight outfit, Washington Spirit.

The 25-year-old is expected to don the No 11 jersey at her new Chinese side who finished 5th in the league last season.

Ordega joins the growing list of African players moving to China, with reigning African Women Footballer of the Year Thembi Kgathlana and her South African compatriot Linda Motlhalo both recently moving to Beijing FC, while Elizabeth Addo of Ghana is expected to seal a move to the Far East soon.

The former Rivers Angels star, who helped Nigeria clinch a record-extending 9th African title in Ghana last year, scored 13 goals in 63 appearances for Washington Spirit in her 4-year spell in the United States of America.
