Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong has penned an emotional farewell to Turkish Super League outfit Bursaspor ahead of his move to Udinese.
Bursaspor has earlier revealed on Wednesday that they have reached an agreement with the Italian Serie A side for his transfer.
The fee agreed for the 24-year-old is said too be around €3.3m.
Troost-Ekong bid Bursaspor farewell via his official Twitter handle.
His tweets read: “I want to say a big thank you to everyone in Bursa and Bursaspor especially my teammates and staff for everything. I will always have great memories of my time in Turkey as a player but also as a man. However the time has come for a new step in my career.”
“I want to wish Bursaspor a great season and I will now follow the team as a fan. So of course lastly I want to say a special thank you to Texas and all the fans who supported me and the team. I will remain one of you now. Texasli Ekong .” He concluded.
Former Dutch youth international Troost-Ekong joined Bursaspor from Belgian side Gent in 2017 for €1m and went on to score two goals in 32 appearances.
He was part of the Super Eagles team that crashed out in the group stage at the recently concluded FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
The centre back has scored once in 24 Super Eagles caps.
