Super Eagles’ Samuel Kalu Seeks Mother’s Return

The mother of Super Eagles of Nigeria forward, Samuel Kalu has been kidnapped and the player is seeking her safe return.

According to BBC World Football’s Osasu Obayiuwana, the kidnappers have made a demand of about $140,000 (50 million Naira) for her release.

While the Girondins Bordeaux winger is yet to make any public statement, negotiations have been ongoing for several days with the kidnappers for the safe return of Kalu’s mother who was kidnapped in Abia State, Nigeria.

Kalu, who has been on the radar of top European clubs since joining the Ligue 1 side, has made stellar performances this season appearing in 29 games scoring 4 goals in all competitions.
