Super Eagles Return To Training On Saturday Evening After Iceland Win

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will return to training on Saturday evening after they secured their first victory of Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup with a 2-0 win over first timers Iceland in a Group D clash at the Volgograd Arena, Volgograd on Friday Evening.

Leicester City forward Ahmed Musa emerged as the hero for his country as he scored a second half brace to lead the team to a crucial victory.

The win takes Nigeria above Argentina and Iceland as the Super Eagles are now in pole position to qualify for the knockout stage alongside group leaders Croatia, who booked their place in the round of 16 with the 3-0 thrashing of Argentina on Friday.

The Eagles’ training schedule was revealed via the official Twitter handle of the team.

According to the tweet, the team will hold an open training session at their Essentuki camp base on Saturday evening (4:45pm).
