Super Eagles Move Up In Newest FIFA Ranking

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up in the latest FIFA ranking released earlier on Thursday.

According to the ranking for the month of April as published on FIFA’s official website, Nigeria moved up five spots from 52nd to 47th.

Eagles’ new position was boosted by last month’s international friendlies against Poland (1-0 victory) and Serbia (2-0 loss) with the team now occupying the sixth position on the African continent.

World champions Germany still remain number one on the world stage followed by Brazil (second), Belgium (third), Portugal (fourth) and Argentina (fifth).

Other top 10 recipients include Switzerland (sixth), France (seventh), Spain (eighth), Chile (ninth) and Poland (tenth).

The next Coca Cola FIFA World Ranking is scheduled for release on May 17, 2018.
