Super Eagles Goalkeeper Uzoho Resumes Elche Training

Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has resumed training with his new Spanish club Elche.

The 19-year-old resumed training with the Spanish Segunda B outfit on Wednesday after completing his season-long loan deal from another second tier club Deportivo La Coruna.

He posted his training picture via his Instagram account with the caption: “First day at work, I’m back for good.”

“I am very happy to be here. My dream is to be better every time, I come to work and learn.” He was also quoted on the official website of his new club.

“I am going to try to give the best of me, I have high expectations with the team.” He added.

Elche are winless in their opening two league games after they played out a goalless with Granada and drew 1-1 draw with Osasuna last weekend.

He is in line to make his home debut for Elche when they entertain Reus at the Manuel Martinez Stadium on Saturday.

Francis Uzoho conceded four goals in three games at this summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia as the Super Eagles crashed out in the group stage.
