Super Eagles B Receive 2018 CHAN Bonus

Super Eagles B team players have finally received their bonus for the silver medal winning feat they achieved at the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Morocco earlier this year.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) had earlier promised the team 30% of the prize money and that has now been redeemed.

Nigeria earned $400,000 in prize money meaning that 30% ($120,000) was shared with the team, players and officials.

Confirming the news about the CHAN bonus via Naijafootballplus.com, a top NFF official said: “We have received the prize money from CAF and we have transferred 30% of the prize money to the team.”

“We met with the players before the final game in Casablanca and motivated the team, we promised them 30% of the prize money and we have kept to our promises after receiving the money from CAF.”

“Bonuses and allowances is no more an issue between the Federation and national teams. We always communicate with the team about the Federation payment structure and also add some incentives to motivate the teams, this should not be a point of conversation anymore.” he concluded.
