Sunshine Stars Gaffer Henry Abiodun Switches Focus To Tornadoes Clash

Sunshine Stars coach Henry Abiodun has turned attention to his side’s crucial Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) clash at Niger Tornadoes on Sunday.

Abiodun led the team to a 2-1 victory over Yobe Stars on Sunday as the Akure Gunners returned to winning ways to move one point and three places (14th) above the relegation zone.

The newly appointed Sunshine Stars coach was speaking about the club in a chat with Goal. In his words, he said: “I am not new to Sunshine Stars because I have always been part and parcel of it even till now.”

“I am amazed when people call me and tell me congratulations. I am the present head of the Technical Committee Department of the club which makes me part of what is going on in the team.

“We are done with the result of our game with Yobe Desert Stars and we are focused on our next game with Niger Tornadoes.” he stated.

Speaking further, Henry Abiodun said: “We have been talking to the players because we know that they must be in the right frame of minds to play games.

“They are responding positively. We have all our players available because as at the last count all our players have been cleared to play by the League Management Company.

“We are working on the mindset of the players and we are sure they will respond favourably.

“We are doing everything to ensure that the players are in a good frame of mind and are aware of their responsibilities to the club.” he concluded.
