Special Eagles Lose Second Match At Amputee World Cup

The Special Eagles lost their second successive match at the ongoing Amputee Football World Cup in San Juan de los Lagos, Jalisco Mexico when they fell to a 3 – 0 defeat to defending champions Russia in Group E.

First-half goals from Igor and Adam Mesiev put the Russians in the lead at halftime with Dmitri Udalov scoring the third and final goal in the second half to seal the result for the Russians.

The Eagles had lost by six unreplied goals to Brazil in their first ever game at the world cup and the defeat to the Russians means their next match against El Salvador in Group E is essentially a dead rubber.
