Lucas Vazquez scored a brace either side of halftime to propel his Real Madrid side into the Spanish Copa Del Rey quarterfinal with a 5-2 aggregate win over lowly Numancia.
With Madrid leading 3-0 from the first leg, Vazquez shot the Los Merengues into the lead on the night before Numancia forward Guillermo.
The aforementioned Vazquez gave Zinedine Zidane’s wards the lead again but Guillermo scored again for the visitors as both sides played out a 2-2 draw at the Estadio Santiago Bernebeu.
Alaves are also through to the last eight after they sealed a 5-1 aggregate win over lowly Formentera with a 2-0 win at home in their second leg clash while Leganes claimed a big scalp with their aggregate victory over Villareal because of the away rule.
Leganes lost 2-1 at Villareal but the away goal was enough to take them through despite a 2-2 aggregate scoreline.
