Sheriff Bashir Completes Move to Katsina United

Former Abia Warriors winger, Sheriff Bashir has completed has jumped ship to join Katsina United ahead of the 2018/19 Nigeria Professional Football League season.

The Oyo State-born winger put pen to paper for Katsina United Thursday after he agreed on personal teams and passed a medical. The contract will run until 2021 after he signed for three-year.

Sheriff told the club website immediately after he signed that he is delighted to move to an ambitious club like Katsina United and hopes to contribute his quota to ensure that the team wins a trophy in the coming season.

“I think this is another turning point in my career and I am happy to move to an ambitious club like Katsina United,” he told the club’s official website.

“I will contribute my quota to ensure that Katsina United win a major trophy this season.”

The former Bayelsa United ace added that he will always appreciate the fans of Abia Warriors for the love they showed him during his four years at the club.

“Yes, I enjoyed my stay at Abia Warriors. The fans and the entire people of Umuahia were wonderful and very passionate about the team,” said the goal-scoring winger.

“I will always appreciate the love and care they showed me during my time at the club.”

Sheriff scored so many important goals and provided a lot of assists during his four years stint with the Umahia based side.
