Sevilla Sign Andre Silva On Loan

Spanish La Liga giants Sevilla have secured the loan transfer of Portuguese striker Andre Silva from seven-time European champions AC Milan.

The 22-year-old joins the Andalusian club on a season-long loan deal from Milan with a purchase option included.

He becomes the club’s seventh signing of the summer after Aleix Vidal, midfielders Ibrahim Amadou and Roque Mesa, defensive duo Sergi Gomez and Joris Gnagnon and goalkeeper Tomas Vaclik.

Andre Silva will battle with Luis Muriel and Wissem Ben Yedder for the lone striker spot in the new season.

The Portuguese international moved to the San Siro in a €38m (£34m/$43m) deal from FC Porto last summer.

He had a largely disappointing campaign, scoring just two goals in 24 league appearances.

Andre Silva had a more fruitful campaign in Europe with eight goals in 14 Europa League matches for Milan before they were eliminated by Arsenal in the round of 16.
