Serie A Review: Roma Stun Napoli As Juventus Cut Lead To One Point

Capital club AS Roma produced their best performance of the season to stun league leaders Napoli 4-2 away from home in their Italian Serie A Matchday 27 clash on Saturday night.

The hosts went into the game on the back of a 10-game winning run buy that was thrown into the flames as first half strikes from in-form Cengiz Under and Edin Dzeko cancelled out Lorenzo Insigne’s opener for Napoli.

Dzeko added a third goal in the second half before Diego Perotti took the game away from the league leaders thus making Dries Mertens’ late goal a mere consolation.

The win was enough to catapult Roma two places up the table into the top three.

Champions Juventus had earlier trimmed the gap to Napoli to one point with a game in hand following a 1-0 win at Lazio courtesy an added time goal from Paolo Dybala.
