Italian champions Juventus have leapfrogged title rivals Napoli to secure top spot after they came through a tough away assignment at Fiorentina unscathed.

The Old Lady got the better of Fiorentina courtesy a 2-0 win through goals from Federico Bernardeschi and in-form Argentine forward Gonzalo Higuain.

After a goalless affair in the first half, Bernardeschi produced a moment of magic against his former club as he won and scored a 56th minute freekick before Higuain made sure of the maximum points four minutes from time.

The impressive win takes Juventus (62 points) above former league leaders Napoli (60 points) ahead of the tricky home clash with Lazio on Saturday evening while Fiorentina (31 points) fail to close gap on the European places as they stay in 11th spot.
