Serie A Recap: Score Draws Dominate Saturday Games

The theme for the two Italian Serie A games on Saturday was undoubtedly score draw after both Matchday 23 fixtures ended in that manner.

Former champions Inter Milan continued their wretched run since December with a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Crotone.

The hosts took a first half lead through Eder’s 23rd minute goal before they were pegged back on the hour mark by Crotone forward Andrea Barberas as Inter Milan (45 points and in 4th place) squander the chance to put pressure on the top three.

In the other game on Saturday, Sampdoria (38 points and in 6th spot) were forced to a 1-1 draw by 10-man Torino at home.

Lucas Torreira gave the hosts an 11th minute lead that was cancelled out by Afriye Acquah for Torino with 25 minutes gone. He thereafter moved from hero to villain for the visitors after he was sent off for two yellow cards in the 73rd minute.

His teammates however spared his blushes by holding out for a draw that was enough to move the capital club one place up the Italian Serie A log from 10th to 9th spot with 34 points.
