Ola Aina was not included in the matchday squad as Torino and Monza share the spoils on Sunday.
Antonio Sanabria gave Torino the lead 29 seconds after the break.
Sanabria surged forward, cut inside and drilled a right-footed shot through a sea of legs into the near bottom corner.
Monza got their equaliser with a well-worked team goal. Matteo Pessina’s back-heel flick found Andrea Petagna, who laid it off for Gianluca Caprari to sweep right-footed into the far top corner.
Aina has scored once in 16 league appearances for Torino this season.
