Serial Offenders! Everton Nab UEFA Fine Again

Merseyside club Everton have been fined by European football’s governing body, UEFA, again.

The Toffees were fined to the tune of 30,000 euros (£26,647) after a fan carrying a small child reportedly pushed an opposition player during the UEFA Europa League (UEL) defeat to French side Olympique Lyon on October 19.

The incident was prompted by Everton defender Ashley Williams before the said home fan pushed Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes.

UEFA via a statement said that the club was fined for “aggressions by supporters against players”.

Everton had earlier been fined £8,837 by Uefa in September, after crowd trouble during the home leg of their UEFA play-off match against Croatian side Hajduk Split in August.
