Former world number one Serena Williams has made a successful return to the Grand Slam at the ongoing French Open following her 1st round win over Kristyna Pliskova of Czech Republic.

The 36-year old was excited with her comeback while speaking after her match with Pliskova. The 453rd ranked player said: “Kristyna played really, really well.”
“I don’t know how many aces I saw during the match. I think there is a donation to charity for each ace, so both of us helped.”
Speaking further, Serena Williams said: “Two years is a long time but I’ve trained hard on this surface.
“I’m so glad to win a match here and I’m taking it one day at a time.” he concluded.
Serena Williams is working her way back to tennis reckoning after she spent some months away from the game to give birth to her first child.
