Seedorf Appointed New Cameroon Coach (Video)

Dutch legend Clarence Seedorf has been named the new coach for the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.

The 42-year-old was unveiled at a small ceremony on Saturday.

The former Real Madrid, AC Milan and Inter Milan midfielder will be assisted by former national team colleague Patrick Kluivert.

Clarence Seedorf has been without a job since he left Spanish outfit Deportivo La Coruna at the end of last season.

He joined Deportivo in the middle of the season but was unable to prevent the former Champions League semifinalists from suffering relegation from the Spanish La Liga.

His immediate challenge would be to help Cameroon retain the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) on home soil in 2019.

Next year’s AFCON is scheduled to run from June 7 to June 30.
