Salah Stars As Five-Star Liverpool Thrash Hapless Roma To Secure UCL Semifinal Advantage

Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah was undoubtedly the star of the show as he led Liverpool to a 5-2 win over Italian Serie A side AS Roma in their UEFA Champions League (UCL) semifinal 1st leg clash at Anfield on Tuesday night.

Salah scored a first half brace to put Liverpool 2-0 ahead and take his season’s goal tally to an impressive 43 goals before he turned provider for both Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino in the second half.

Brazilian forward Firmino added another goal to make it 5-0 only for the visitors to produce a mini comeback with two late goals courtesy Eden Dzeko and substitute Diego Perotti.

Both sides meet again in the second leg at the Stadio Olimpico next week Wednesday with Liverpool firmly in the driving seat.
