Egyptian star Mohamed Salah proved to be the matchwinner for Liverpool again as helped the Reds to the top of the Premier League table with a slim 1-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield in what was a week three clash played on Saturday evening.
The former AS Roma and Chelsea forward profited off a mistake from Brighton midfielder Yves Bisouma to fire Liverpool into the lead on 23 minutes.
The visitors hardly threatened the Reds rearguard and Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker was particularly calm and effective in dealing with the few threats that came her way.
In the end, Salah’s first half strike proved to be the winning goal.
The slim win takes Liverpool above Bournemouth and champions Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.
