Ronaldo Hits Brace On Return As Juventus Return To Winning Ways

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace in his first match since recovering from coronavirus as Juventus returned to winning ways with a 4-1 win at Spezia in Serie A on Sunday.

The Portuguese forward had missed Juve’s last three games in all competitions due to his diagnosis with Juventus failing to win in all of them.

But the Old Lady pulled off a much needed win at the lowly newcomers to ease pressure on new boss Andrea Pirlo.

On loan striker Alvaro Morata put the visitors in front in the 14th minute but Tammaso Pobega struck back for the hosts to put both sides level heading into the interval.

Ronaldo made his appearance in the 56th minute replacing Argentine forward Paulo Dybala and took just three minutes to make his presence felt restoring Juve’s lead from Morata assist.

French midfielder Adrien Rabiot then scored moments after coming on and Ronaldo completed the rout with Juventus’s fourth goal and his fifth in the league this season, scoring from the spot after Federico Chiesa was brought down in the box.

The win puts Juve second on the log on goals difference, two points behind leaders AC Milan who maintained top spot with a 2-1 win at Udinese with Zlatan Ibrahimovic among the goals.
