Portuguese superstar and new Juventus signing Cristiano Ronaldo will have to wait more for a first goal in the black and white colours of the Old Lady after he failed to find the back of the net in the 2-0 win over Lazio at the Juventus Stadium.
The five-time Ballon d’Or missed an open goal and his miscued shot was tapped in by Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic in the 75th minute for Juventus’ all-important second goal.
Bosnian international midfielder Miralem Pjanic scored a good goal to give the hosts a first half lead before Mandzukic’s strike wrapped up the win for the defending champions.
The win takes Juventus back to the top of the Italian Serie A table ahead of the remaining week 2 fixtures.
